Located in the heart of Park City, Utah, only a 35-minute drive from Salt Lake City International Airport, Park City is home to over 7,300 skiable acres with a great mix of beginner, intermediate and advanced terrain suited for every skier and rider. During summer 2015, the Resort undertook the largest resort improvement project in the history of American skiing, linking it with neighbor Canyons Resort to create the United States’ LARGEST SKI AREA. Park City Ski Resort bustles with activities year-round with two distinct base areas, nine hotels, and more than two dozen restaurants and bars (yes, BARS, you can drink in Park City.) In the summer of 2015, Vail Resorts established the connection between Park City Mountain Resort and Canyons Resort to create the largest single ski area in the country. Resort improvements totaling over $50 million for the 2015-16 season included the construction of the new, eight passenger Quicksilver Gondola, upgrades to the King Con and Motherlode Lifts, a new on-mountain restaurant called Miners Camp, and additional snowmaking and restaurant upgrades.
Deer Valley uses more grooming equipment than other Wasatch ski areas, and limits access to avoid overcrowding; the resort limits ticket sales to 7,500 per day. Deer Valley has 21 chairlifts, including 12 high speed detachable quads and an enclosed 4-passenger gondola.
