TSC Fall Round Up

BRECKENRIDGE, COLORADO
November 22-27, 2011

VP – Andrea Yowman

We’re Going To Breckenridge… Again!!!
Authentic, Unpretentious Breckenridge, Colorado

Join the Texas Ski Council as we embark on Breckenridge, CO during the week of Thanksgiving. What better place to be with family and friends. Breckenridge was established as a base camp in 1859, after gold was discovered along the Blue River. It quickly became a bustling town filled with fearless prospectors, hardworking miners, and plenty of rough-and-tumble saloons.
While the frenzy of the Gold Rush era has long passed, skiers and snowboarders rave about this massive, four-mountain resort that practically bumps into the town. Breckenridge stretches across more than 2,300 acres of terrain, filled with wide groomers, glistening tree-lined glades, dramatic chutes, and powder-filled bowls. Skiers and riders of all abilities are sure to find something to their liking in this expansive resort. Beginner and intermediate runs are groomed each night making for ideal skiing each and every day.

This will be the seventh year for the TSC to offer, in conjunction with the TSC Youth Foundation, its Fall Roundup. The Foundation encourages children to participate in the fun sports of skiing and snowboarding. Breckenridge will be offering children ages 4 – 13 a fantastic deal on its Youth Camp, which includes lifts, lessons, rentals (including helmet) and lunch. In addition, there will be activities planned throughout the week to keep the kids entertained. Blue River Hall in Beaver Run is a kid's “dream come true” with all of its video games, air hockey and even a 9-hole miniature golf course.
Plans are progressing nicely for this to be a fantastic Thanksgiving week.
The very tentative schedule is as follows:

Tuesday - Clubs arrive at Village Hotel/Plaza. Note that if you want to extend the trip and come in earlier than Tuesday, Village Hotel/Plaza will honor the TSC rate for those days.

Wednesday am - Mountain Tours. Breckenridge Hosts will provide complimentary Mountain Tours for anyone wanting a tour for the TSC Participants. Après Activities -Park Avenue Pub, The Maggie, Mi Casa & many others offer great opportunities for après events, close to the village lodging.

Wednesday pm - Welcome Party currently scheduled in Breckenridge conference center in the Plaza. Light appetizers and drink tickets (cash bar also available). Fun events for the kids and fundraiser for the Youth Foundation.

Thursday - Skiing and every year Beaver Run has a Thanksgiving buffet that is the talk of the town. Last year's menu had carving stations with turkey, ham, and beef as well as side dishes galore.

Friday - Race Day.

Saturday – Skiing and Awards Happy Hour and Final Party schedule hosted at the newly renovated Breckenridge conference center in the Village. Buffett dinner, drink tickets & entertainment included.

YOUTH CAMP For skiers ages 4-13 and snowboarders ages 7-13, there will be a youth camp. For an enormously reduced price, your child (or grandchild) will receive 4 full day lessons, lunches, rentals (including helmet) and lift ticket. If you do not want your children in the camp all 4 days, you may purchase daily camps, but note that your child must participate in at least 3 days of the youth camp in order to be eligible for any travel reimbursement from the Youth Foundation. Also note that in order to get this pricing you MUST pre-order and prepay for the youth camp. This pricing will not be available at the mountain either for purchase or for any "add-on" of days.
